  • TSSA Considerations During Covid-19

    TSSA has updated its COVID-19 response and requirements, now that Ontario has entered into Stage 2 and Stage 3 recovery. In many circumstances, TSSA has been offering grace periods for certain requirements. Now that Ontario has entered Stage 2 and Stage 3 recovery, TSSA expects its regulated clients to resume fulfilling their regulatory requirements. TSSA’s current considerations during COVID-19 can be found here. We continue to ask customers to contact us if they are facing COVID-19 related barriers and unsure of how to proceed. TSSA head office remains closed to the public but employees are available by phone or email to serve our valued stakeholders.   • NIPE - Opposes Path 2 - Media Release

    The National Institute of Power Engineers is genuinely concerned about the manner and speed by which the TSSA is moving forward with a process which: a) is not aligned with the vision of NPSAC, ACI and SOPEEC or the Labour Mobility act 2008 b) is not endorsed by the majority of stakeholders as evidenced through the public consultation, and by the TSSA Operating Engineers Advisory Council (OEAC).

  • TSSA resumes Examinations

    If you received a cancellation notice, due to COVID-19, please forward that to certandexams@tssa.org with your primary and alternate request for your preferred examination date, location and time. A new application form will not be required if you have submitted an application and pre-payment in the past. New applications will also be processed, in the order they are received, using the application forms posted at www.tssa.org.

  • IPECC Annual Conference - ONLINE for 2020

    The Inter-provincial Power Engineering Curriculum Committee (IPECC) meets once a year in various locations across Canada to discuss issues related to the inter-provincial curriculum. Participants in this Committee include training providers of all Power Engineering programs, chief provincial examiners, and interested industry representatives. These meetings provide a forum for industry to provide feedback to educational institutes and training providers on issues related to practicing Power Engineers. With input from all stakeholders, this committee will propose changes which are deemed necessary to enhance the training and skills of Power Engineers at all levels of competency. Changes or proposals made at these meetings are taken to the Standardization of Power Engineer Examinations Committee (SOPEEC) meeting for discussion and approval. SOPEEC presents these proposals to the Association of Chief Inspectors (ACI) for final approval and implementation.
