Roy
S. Martin, P.Eng., joined TSSA as Director, Boilers and Pressure
Vessels and Operating Engineers Safety Program in November 2006.
Roy brings a wealth of technical leadership and entrepreneurial experience in the nuclear power industry in Canada and the US. Most recently, Roy held the position of Sr. Vice President and Chief Engineer of RCM Technologies Canada Corp., where he was responsible for the company’s overall technical performance, leadership and strategic direction, as well as technical oversight of RCM’s engineering. As a member of the CEO Health and Safety Leadership Charter, Roy also brings 27 years of experience in both utility and consulting roles in Canada and the US. Roy led the multi-million dollar Bruce A Environmental Qualification project (an engineer-procure-construct project) supporting the restart of Bruce Power’s nuclear units 3 & 4. The Bruce Restart was named a 2004 PowerGen International Project of the Year for a well-run, innovative project. Roy was also the founder and officer of Fulcrum Group Inc. and CanNuke Technologies Ltd., both of which were acquired by RCM Technologies in 1999. Roy provided overall strategic direction and held full profit and loss accountability for its Canadian operations through 2001. In addition, he provided senior technical and management advice to Ontario Power Generation, and built critical relationships with key clients and business partners. Roy holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, a Designated Consulting Engineer, and is currently completing the Executive MBA program from the Richard Ivey School of Business. |
