There are now over 30 combustion gas turbine generators in the 1 – 20 MW range operating in continuous-duty mode throughout Ontario. Some of these generators have been operating since the early 1990's, whereas some are being installed right now (and, depending on how the June election goes, some may be installed in the future).
All present, future and potential small gas turbine users are challenged by the following:
The morning session will be dedicated hearing from the experts in emissions reductions and Ontario's Cap and Trade Program.
In the afternoon, users will split into two groups and meet with their OEM Field Service Representative (Solar Turbines or Siemens Gas Turbines).
At the end of the day, we will gather together to listen to a roundtable discussion with current gas turbine users and hear some of the problems and challenges they face.
